Do You Love Jesus?
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
John 14:15
Most Christians say they love Jesus. But do they? Do you? Look how Jesus describes or defines love of Him. He says real love of Him will keep His commandments.
The true love of Jesus Christ is not a mere feeling, or mere words, or mere ritual done on Sundays. True love of Christ is a committed disciple obeying their Lord.
Singing, O How I Love Jesus, is not nearly enough. Many Christian do that.
Wearing a WWJD bracelet is not nearly enough. Many Christians do that.
Going to church services is not nearly enough. Many Christians do that.
Reading the Bible and praying is not nearly enough. Many Christians do those.
If you love Jesus Christ, you will keep His commandments. You will read the Bible to learn His commandments, and then you will repent of sins and change your life.
Real love of Jesus Christ is true discipleship. It is making Him your Lord and Master and submitting your whole life of thoughts, speech, choices, and actions to His word.
If you do not repent of your sins keep His commandments, He will curse you with terrible words when you meet Him, for He does not care about those calling Him, Lord. He only cares for those obeying His Father’s commandments (Matt 7:21-23).
But if you do love Him sincerely and keep His commandments, He and His Father will come to you, dwell with you, and walk with you (John 14:21,23). Glory!
True love of Jesus Christ will learn the Bible to know the true Jesus from another Jesus (II Cor 11:3-4). You must find a church that will preach the truth about Jesus.
True love of Jesus Christ will learn the Bible to know His will and rules for life (Ps 119:128; II Tim 3:16-17). You must find a church that strongly preaches your practical duties to please Him in every part of your life. There are few such churches.
