Where do you stand on alcohol?

The Bible condemns drunkenness but commends moderate use of wine and strong drink for relaxation and pleasure, even in worship (Eph 5:18; Gen 14:18; Deut 14:26). The Bible states God made wine for its mood-altering properties as much as He made bread for its nutritional properties (Ps 104:14-15; Eccl 10:19; Judges 9:13; Pr 31:6-7). Not only did Jesus make a large quantity of excellent wine for a wedding in Cana (Jn 2:1-11), He drank wine often and regularly in contrast to John the Baptist as indicated by the Jews’ false accusation (Luke 7:33-34).
