Paul began the practical half of Romans appealing to the mercies of God he had thoroughly described in the first 11 chapters. It is only reasonable that the elect should present their bodies as living sacrifices, holy, and acceptable to God for saving them.

God saved us to be different from the world. He hates the world, and we should hate it. It is spiritual adultery to flirt with the world. Believers should be transformed in all parts of life by a new mindset to show the world the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.

11:30-36 for the glory of God in His mercy to Gentiles and to Jews.
God mercifully blinded some of elect Israel so that the gospel went to the Gentiles for their conversion and possession of the kingdom, and then the blinded Jews were converted as well. This concludes the plan of salvation with Paul giving great glory to God!

To walk with God like David and Paul you need music in your life.
Keeping your heart is important for all issues of life (Pr 4:23). David was a man highly favored by God. Music can help you be a man like David and help keep your heart. David wrote the poetry for singing, invented the instruments, and organized the production.

Proverbs 4:23 is the greatest of Solomon's proverbs. Your heart is your most important asset, and it must be kept with all diligence, for it affects every part of your life. It can ruin your life and worship, or it can do more to please God and man than anything else.

11:25-29 for unconverted elect of Israel for benefit of the Gentiles.
Here is a distinguishing mark of true doctrine - elect that do not believe the gospel yet go to heaven. Any who get infants into heaven believe it, but few can show it in the Bible. Here is the main point of Romans 11 - part of elect Israel was blinded to the gospel.
Sufficiency of Christ

Jesus is sufficient as a Saviour over faith, truth, works, or any charge.
There is only one Saviour from the lake of fire and eternal condemnation - Jesus Christ. He by Himself and once for all redeemed and perfected His people. No other man, whether pastor, priest, or pope, can help at all in the great legal work of salvation from sin.

Men Are Not Equal

Men's meeting to provoke men to be their best for God and kingdom.
This effeminate generation does not compare important issues of income, assets, winning, or losing. Yet God in the Bible compares and ranks all men, for He commends and rewards winners and ridicules and punishes losers. Are you the best you can be?

11:16-24 for Gentiles to rightly consider their privilege in the Jewish church.
The N.T. indicates animosity between Jews and Gentiles. The Jewish situation of some elect blinded for Gentile conversions is dealt with wisely by an olive tree for the Gentiles to realize their blessed and vulnerable position and to rightly respect Israel.

The story of Hannah and Samuel is well known by Bible readers. But there is wisdom to consider this woman and her commitment to have Samuel ready to worship the LORD and to serve the tabernacle when he was weaned. What kind of a parent are you?

11:11-15 for the conversion of the Gentiles for the conversion of Jews!
What sovereign wisdom of God to turn the Gentiles for their immediate benefit and in turn a delayed benefit by elect Jews. Learn the humility, fear, evangelism, and thanks this passage teaches. The gospel of reconciliation for Gentiles is precious.
Reconciled to God

II Corinthians 5:18-21 teaches two precious phases of reconciliation.
The war is over! How did Hiroo Onoda waste 30 years? Jesus went where no man could or dared and made peace between God and men. He sent preachers to tell you the war is over, so you can end your vain religious works and gain assurance of eternal life.

11:11-12 rightly applying the rest of the chapter to blinded elect.
Verse 11 of Romans 11 is the crucial verse of this chapter. What is the antecedent of the pronouns in the verse? The chapter now deals with elect Jews blinded to the gospel, allowing the gospel to be redirected to Gentiles during this transitional generation.

Daniel 9:24 lists six glorious things God determined to do to Israel.
Text is often assigned to a future millennial kingdom of the Jews - thus a Jewish fable. But most saints for the last 2000 years see the glory of Jesus Christ in this remarkable prophecy. There are elements of judgment and of salvation in this precious text.

Gambling is rapidly growing worldwide, as online and mobile gambling makes it ever more convenient, much like porn. The Bible lays out many principles of ethics and conduct that condemn this wicked activity. Do you hate it? Can you prove it from a Bible?

11:1-10 for the election and blinding of national Israel to eternal life.
Though God turned from the Jews to the Gentiles (10:19-21), He had not rejected all Jews from eternal life (11:1-2). There was a remnant as in Elijah's day by grace (11:3-6). The elect were saved, but the rest were blinded (11:7), as scripture said (11:8-10).

The Bible is God's word. In fact, it is God's words. How did we get God's words in a book written by men? God gave men His words by external and internal dictating. You should hate paraphrases or any alteration to God's inspired words. Will you read it?
